The TBT Adult Choir and
Youth Ensemble welcome adults and children to
join our TBT choirs. No previous knowledge of music
or Hebrew is required.
As
you know, students who have signed up for the Junior
Choir as their Hebrew School Sunday elective are
encouraged to participate in our monthly Family
Services. The first Family Service of the new
semester to feature the Junior Choir will be Friday
evening, February 11th at 7:00, so here are some
timely details:
• Please email or
call Rick Calvert by next Tuesday, February 8th to
let him know whether your son(s) or daughter(s) will
be able to participate in the service (
rdcalvert@comcast.net
; 860-669-1743).
This head count is
important to service planning, which includes
setting the proper number of chairs on the bima.
• Rick is asking that
choir members arrive by 6:30 to get organized and
warmed up with its selections. We recognize that
this arrival time is a challenge, and we appreciate
families’ efforts in this regard. Students should
come directly to the sanctuary.
• The Junior Choir
will be sitting with Rick on the bima, and all
members are asked to wear white shirts. The music is
being kept at the temple, so members do not need to
bring anything else with them.
We will have had
three Sunday elective periods in this new semester
and our hearty troupe of seven members, some of whom
sang in the choir last year, is energetic, talented
and fun, so we encourage as many family members and
friends as possible to come and support them!
If you want to look
further ahead on your calendars, the Family Services
for the rest of the school year will be on March 18,
April 22, May 13 and June 24.
Please feel free to
contact Rick with any questions.
