Named for one of the founding members of
Temple Beth Tikvah, the Harold Besso
Library is home to approximately 3300
Judaica materials. Its adult and
children’s collections include classic
and popular fiction and literature;
young adult fiction from award winning
authors; and non-fiction materials on
all aspects of Judaism; biographies; and
books on Israel. A growing collection of
picture books, easy readers and board
books for toddlers and preschoolers is
also housed in the library. On the
audio-visual front, the library is home
to a small collection of movies, both
popular and non-fiction, music, and
children's VHS tapes.
The library supports the recreational
reading interests of its congregants and
the academic pursuits of the temple's
religious school faculty and students.
The collection grows through donated and
purchased materials. Materials are
cataloged on Resource Mate, which
serves as the online catalog and
circulation system.

The Harold A. Besso Library is
accessible any time the temple is open,
with easy self-check-out procedures for
borrowers. The librarian is on duty
during the school year at the following
times:
Wednesdays 12:15 - 5:15 p.m.
Sundays: 9 a.m. - 12 noon
