Mission Statement
| |
It shall be the mission of
Temple Beth Tikvah to create an authentic Jewish
community. To achieve this, Temple Beth Tikvah
shall:
- provide religious
services and spiritual sustenance to all Jews
consistent with the tenets and practices of modern
Reform Judaism
- provide Jewish
education and cultural experiences to children from
the preschool years through Confirmation
- provide post
Confirmation continuing Jewish education and
cultural experiences to all who seek them
- provide social
settings for the children and adults of the
congregation so a sense of community is created
- reach out to the
unaffiliated Jews in the greater community
- develop a caring
community through sharing the joys of life cycle
events and reaching out to members of the
congregation with special needs - Jews by choice,
non-Jewish spouses, the elderly, single parents,
unmarrried adults, young adults in colleges and
universities - and to provide support services in
anticipation of crises as well as in time of crisis
for members.
