1. Do you need to be jewish to enroll?
No. TBTNS welcomes children of all faitths and
backgrounds. The curriculum does involve all of our students in learning about
Jewish Holidays, shabbat and jewish culture. We do not celebrate any non-jewish
holidays.
2. What is the teacher/student ratio?
The ratio is 1/6. Each class enrolls 12 students
with 2 teachers per class. This affords our program to offer ample
individualized attention and instruction to your child.
3. What qualifications do your teachers have?
All of our teachers are required to be certified
in 1st aid, CPR and epi-pen. They are required to attend numerous
workshops, seminars and conferances throughout the year to show evidence of
continuing education and learn the latest in child development. All are parents
themselves and many have earned advanced degrees (masters or above).
4. What is your discipline policy?
We teach our students to use their emerging
language skills in order to gain valuable confidence in peaceful conflict
negotiation. Our teachers are highly skilled in helping their students to find
appropriate ways to get their needs met with their words. Also, our daily
schedule lends itself to a pace that keeps them from getting bored or
frustrated. Oftentimes, these are the culprits for a child's misbehaviors. If
there is a student with more serious issues, then a parent meeting is held for
further understanding.
5. Do you offer enrichment in the arts?
TBTNS offers spanish, music and storytelling
programs to all classes each month.
